OUR STORY

Green Meads Farm was started in 1926  by Jeff's grandparents, Kate and Darwin Morse. Darwin bred and sold  valuable Guernsey cattle breeding stock across the country. Kate raised and trained over 26 different breeds of dogs and was well known as a top breeder of American Cocker Spaniels.

Horse were always part of the life at Green Meads, except during WWII when they were given up for the war effort. In the early 1950's, the first Morgan horse came to Green Meads: Windcrest Cover Girl as a riding mount for Kate. Soon after followed Abbington of Shady Lawn and her weanling stud colt by her side, Windcrest Ben Davis, sired by Upwey Ben Don. And thus began the Green Meads Morgan dynasty.
